Because the number of oral presentation is limited, the organizing committee will select the general oral presenter from the oral presentation applicants.

The notification of oral presentation or poster presentation will be sent by e-mail before December 10, 2017 together with a notification of acceptance or rejection.

[Visa Application]

Visas are required for some nationalities to travel to Japan for attending ICS 2018. Please contact your travel agent and/or the Japan Consulate/Embassy in your country for exact details and visa application procedures as soon as possible; Normally, the tourist visa application process takes at least 2 months. Visa processing times can vary in each country. Participants are highly recommended to apply for Tourist Visa; the Organizing Committees of ICS 2018 can not issue any official letters for your Business visa application due to regulations.

[Oral Presentation and NOTICE]

Presentation time at 19th ICS (including discussion time):

40 min (Presentation 35 min + Discussion 5 min) for Plenary Speakers, 20 min (Presentation 15 min + Discussion 5 min) for Invited Speakers, and 15 min (Presentation 12 min + Discussion 3 min) for General Oral Presentation.


It is recommended to use a PowerPoint presentation in Microsoft Office 2016. If you use Macintosh for your presentation, please use your own PC. The connection to the projector is VGA or HMDI, so Please prepare the conversion cable yourself.


Please report your arrival and submit your slides/presentations at the reception desk at least 60 min prior to the beginning of each session. First presentation of morning session should submit the slides the day before presentation. The speakers, who would like to use their own computers, please bring your computer to check the connection and presentation slides as early as possible.

[Poster Preparation and NOTICE]

In 19th ICS, a poster must be prepared in English, and the discussion can be carried out in English.

A poster presentation board with 90 cm wide x 180 cm high will be provided for your display area. (A0 sized poster is recommended).

[Award for Poster Presentation]

The organizing committee will select the award for sutudent from poster session at 19th ICS. The winners will be announced on the ICS website.

1) Registration fee (for general) is including a program/abstract book, excursion tour, welcome party, lunch for April 28th, 29th, and 30th, banquet, and a gift from the organizing committee.

2) Registration fee (for student) is including a program/abstract book, welcome party, lunch for April 28th, 29th, and 30th, and a gift from the organizing committee.

3) Reservation for lunch for April 28th, 29th, and 30th must be made in the system of registration.

4) For student presenters who are the member of The Society of Cyclodextrin, Japan, the organizing committee will support 10,000 yen as a scholarship.  Please visit the support desk during the conference.

5) Please confirm the contents of your registration by AMARYS system.

Information to the participant

At Sophia University, the portal site of eduroam is available. Moreover, the organizing committee of 19th ICS is ready for 1-day account of Sophia-WiFi network. On the day of 19th ICS, the 1-day account of Sophia-WiFi network and the password will be informed at the distribution of 19th ICS.

The special issue will be published through the Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry.  All the oral speakers are cordially invited for submission in the special issue of ICS 2018.
